Carey Haley
Senior Attorney
Carey is a 1999 Graduate of Depauw University and a 2002 Graduate of Indiana University McKinney School of Law. She began her career as an attorney and later as Chief Counsel of the Department of Child Services in Indianapolis, Indiana. She later served as Chief Counsel at Child Advocates, Inc, a non profit agency where she supervised a team of attorneys and served as an attorney for Guardians Ad Litem in child welfare and custody cases.
Carey is the cofounder of the Child Advocacy Clinic at the IU McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.
Prior to joining Kaye Lembeck Hitt & French, Carey practiced family law at Ruppert & Schaefer in Indianapolis and later at Swilling Family Law in Roswell, Georgia. She represents clients in family law matters including contested and uncontested divorces, custody matters, modification actions, and step parent adoptions and continued her work as a Guardian Ad Litem. She is the past chair of the Civil Rights of Children Committee of the Indiana State Bar, the past board president of the Indiana Chapter of AFCC and a current member of the Amicable Divorce Network.
She is the mother to four daughters and her hobbies involve watching her children do what they love. She spends any free time hanging out with her husband, listening to country music, working out and traveling. She enjoys helping clients navigate the many challenges involved in family law cases.
